About Me

Andrew Olsen, CFRE is Vice President/Food Banks at Russ Reid – an Omnicom Ad Agency serving the nonprofit sector. He’s an award-winning fundraising advisor whose campaigns have helped grow brand awareness and increase market share for dozens of charitable, advocacy and political organizations.

His clients’ programs have acquired hundreds of thousands of new donors and generated more than $70 million to help change lives, influence public policy and shape the nation’s political landscape.

Andrew’s experience includes work on behalf of such organizations as Save the Children, Special Olympics, St. Joseph’s Indian School, Best Friends Animal Society, Boys Town, numerous Food Banks, Rescue Missions, Children’s Hospitals, PBS stations, Catholic Charities agencies, advocacy organizations, and political campaigns/committees.

Andrew is a 2011 ECHO Award winner, and a 2009 recipient of the prestigious Gold Quill for Excellence from the International Association of Business Communicators.

He is co-author of Rainmaking: The Fundraiser’s Guide to Landing Big Gifts, and is frequently sought after to speak and write on various topics impacting the nonprofit sector.
